Will Oinn was born in Cambridge in 1986 and began learning the oboe at the age of 9. From the age of 15, he was privileged to study the oboe with Nicholas Daniel and, in 2005, was awarded a Foundation Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music. Having graduated in 2009, Will won several awards to continue his studies at the Royal College of Music, where he is currently undertaking his Masters.
Forging a successful start to a career as an orchestral oboist, Will is Principal oboe of the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and has appeared with all the major ensembles of the Royal College of Music. He has toured with the Symphony Orchestra of India, appeared with the European Union Youth Orchestra, Britten Pears Orchestra and the Nash Ensemble and has toured with the London Sinfonietta.
Yshani studied as an undergraduate scholar at the Royal College of Music under John Barstow before completing the Masters programme at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Distinction under Caroline Palmer and Andrew West.
As a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral pianist, Yshani has performed at venues including the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, LSO St. Luke's and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and at events including the Soundings Platform for Contemporary Music and the Internationale Muziekzomer Gelderland festival.
Yshani is the current Yamaha Birmingham Accompanist of the Year and a 2011 Park Lane Group Artist. She works regularly with dancers, having worked with English National Opera/Fabulous Beast on their production of The Rite of Spring and currently performing with Rambert Dance Company.
Yshani recently joined the staff at the Royal College of Music Junior Department teaching Musicianship and Composition.
