Cecil Higgins Art Gallery: The Cecil Higgins Art Gallery is an unusual combination of recreated Victorian Mansion (originally the home of the Higgins family, wealthy Bedford Brewers) and adjoining modern gallery housing an internationally renowned collection of watercolours, prints and drawings, ceramics, glass and lace.
The collections include paintings, print, sculpture, ceramics, glass, furniture, metalwork, lace, costume, William Burges and Edward Bawden pieces, as well as local Bedfordshire artists.
The Gallery has access for wheelchair users and a lift to the upper floor. Wheelchair available, please contact the Gallery in advance. There are toilets on the ground floor for disabled visitors. However, there are steps to the Gallery's Costume Room and Education Room.
