A WWII themed photography training day at Shuttleworth intended to teach attendees the basic camera skills required to photograph aircraft.
Aimed at beginner photographers who wish to learn the basic controls of their camera, this day is ideal for photographers who have a DSLR and are looking to get more creative and understand the use of shutter speeds and apertures. We do not discourage more competent enthusiasts from attending this course, but it will cover some basic elements of camera settings.
It is essential that you own a DSLR camera with a removable lens and a camera that allows manual control of shutter speeds and apertures. A standard lens is all that is required, however a zoom lens will be beneficial. A range of practical skills will be taught, from capturing static images, portrait photography (using a period dress re-enactor), and moving subjects in the air. It will leave attendees fully primed to take on an airshow with their camera!
This is an outdoor event, suitable clothing and footwear will be required.
