The Ballad of Reading Gaol. A brilliant solo show depicting the life and loves of Oscar Wilde.
Wilde Without the Boy is a solo adaptation of Oscar Wilde's De Profundis, a letter Wilde wrote to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, from Reading Gaol between January and March 1897 close to the end of his imprisonment. It is a brilliant, brutally-honest composition by one of the very greatest writers who ever lived, and illuminates all the nooks and crannies of Oscar Wilde's embittered mind and bruised soul.
Gerard Logan is an Olivier-award nominated actor, and won The Stage newspaper's award for "Best Solo Show" of the 2011 Edinburgh Festival, and his solo presentation of Shakespeare's great narrative poem The Rape of Lucrece. Logan won the "Best Actor" award at the 2014 Buxton Fringe Festival for his performance in the piece, and the show sold-out at the Assembly Rooms during both the 2015 and 2016 Edinburgh Festivals (at both of which he won 5 Stars).
