Look Out Discovery Centre: The Look Out Discovery Centre has been voted 14th out of 50 by the Independent in it's "The 50 Best Spring Days Out in Britain". It is a hands-on, interactive science and nature exhibition with over 70 exhibits within themed zones linked to the National Curriculum.

Light and Colour Zone

"Pluck" the laser beams of the Light Harp to make a little light music or check out the Two Way Mirror!

Forces and Movement Zone

Why not put all your energy into launching the Hydrogen Rocket with a bang, or build the Arch Bridge to see if it will support your weight.

Sound and Communication Zone

See the new exhibits for 2002. Talk with your friend across the courtyard through our whisper dishes. See the top of the tower without having to climb the steps!

Body and Perception Zone

Have you ever wondered how strong your heart must be to send blood to every part of your body? Well, now's your chance to find out on the Beat Your Heart exhibit. Can you work out our amazing puzzles on the Puzzle Carousel?

Woodland and Water Zone

The new zone is extremely popular. Come and float leaves in the stream, watch the leaf cutter ants working or make our water tornado work. .
