A series of four workshops designed for those new to researching family history. Where to start, how to progress your research and good research practice are all explained.
The course explores different genealogy websites and looks at the content they offer and which are better for particular kinds of records. It covers civil registration, parish registers, wills, censuses, plus emigration and some overseas records. Also it briefly examines benefits and limitations of some of the family history programs available to record your research. Course sessions to be held on: 6th February, 20th February, 6th March and 20th March.
Places are limited, so early booking is highly recommended. Includes tea and coffee.
