To celebrate Youth Mental Health Day on Tuesday 19th September
The launch event will be held at one of their venues, Watford Palace Theatre, and all are invited to join them to raise awareness of this community provision for 10-18 year oldsThere will be a host of activities on the day including a raffle, badge making, creative workshops, Lumi Nova demonstrations and refreshments to enjoyHosted by Hertfordshire Mind Network, these safe and welcoming spaces will offer compassionate face to face emotional and wellbeing support and guidance from trained mental health workers, without the need for a professional referral
Herts Haven Cafés are a free welcoming drop-in space for children and young people across Hertfordshire to access support for their emotional wellbeing

Our main goal is to create a non-judgmental environment where young people feel comfortable sharing their concernsWe believe it’s important for individuals to have a space where they can freely express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgmentThat’s why our compassionate team are here to listen and supportPractical help may include guidance on coping strategies, stress management techniques, and problem-solving skillsOur workers have the knowledge and resources to provide relevant information and tools to help young people navigate their mental health challengesThe cafés will also provide a safe space to access digital support including The Sandbox, and Lumi Nova, as well as talk through alternative services
Emotional support is also a key focus of our cafésOur team are trained to provide empathy, acknowledgment, and a safe space for young people to express their emotionsThrough open and caring conversations, we aim to create a sense of belonging and connection
