Completed in 1889 Waddesdon Manor is the last remaining example of ´le style Rothschild´. Waddesdon Manor houses one of the finest collections of French 18th century decorative arts in the world. The furniture, Savonnerie carpets and Sèvres porcelain ranks in importance with the Metropolitan Museum in New York and the Louvre in Paris. Since it reopened in 1994 each year brings new features and displays and new areas of the Garden are opened up for our visitors.

An extensive restoration programme was initiated by Lord Rothschild in 1990 with the aim of returning the garden to its appearance at the beginning of this century. A walk around the Manor Gardens, in a Garden guide-led group, forms part of our programme of regular Free Activities.

We offer a great choice of wine events, from learning the skills to taste wine and what to look for when buying wine, to spending a whole day tasting with a tour of the Manor included. For full details of all our wine events click onto the Events section of our website or call our Booking Office tel: 01296 653226
