A concert of words and music for summer, 7.30pm in St Michael and All Angels, Ledbury.This promises to be a delightful concert, opening with movements from the St Magnus Mass by William Petter. Petter died exceedingly young in 2016, at age 33, and wrote this six-part mass towards the end of his life. It is a glorious piece and well worth getting to know.
Our programme takes in music by Jean Berger and Josquin des Prez, a collection from the Queen's coronation service, "Songs of Springtime" by EJ Moeran, a commission from Joanna Forbes L'Estrange, and finishes with the eponymous "How Can I Keep From Singing?" by Rob Lowry, arr. Sarah Quartel.
Tickets cost £15, with no charge for under-18s and students, and will be available on our website.
