After nearly 40 years, the Southern family have made the difficult decision to close Dobwalls Adventure Park. The site is currently being transformed, fifteen contemporary lodges are under construction at the northern end of the site.

Dobwalls Family Adventure Park is one of the most popular visitor attractions in the westcountry. The Forest Railroad opened in 1970 with a further half a mile of track opening in 1974. Since opening, well over 6 million passengers have safely travelled behind our superb, sturdy and hard working locomotives over two very different arduous and scenic routes, based on the Rio Grande and Union Pacific railroads. Why not jump aboard one of the many steam/diesel engines that we have at Dobwalls.
Our extensive undercover play zone, 10,000sq ft of adventure with ball pools, climbing towers including the Big Sur Ripple Slide!!
Explore our out door adventureland, navigate your way through tunnels and slides, bridges and climbing net. Try the famous Five, our tower of 5 slides(far right image), or the rattlesnake long ride down through the darkness!!
Escape from it all and stroll around our woodland walk planted in 1993 with help from the forestry commission grants scheme.
This area has been left intentionally relatively wild. There is a wealth of natural flora and fauna waiting for you to discover it. Over the past few years we have planted a number of specimen trees and it is our intention to thin some of the existing woodland to further this project. In the future it will be left as wild woodland.
