The Intense by Philadelphia pop up tour is heading to Birmingham Pride on Saturday 27th May, at New Street Station, Station Street, Birmingh
Those heading to join the parade and soak-up the atmosphere of Birmingham Pride on Saturday 27th May can tantalise their taste buds by trying-out two, new and exclusive recipes created by food guru and TV presenter Gok Wan.
Made with the rich and creamy new Philadelphia Intense Garlic & Herbs and Philadelphia Intense Herbes de Provence, passers-by will be whisked away into a seriously intense foodie ‘me moment’ with the snack recipes:
Bacon and Cherry Tomato Bagel with Philadelphia Intense Garlic & Herbs - this will delight taste buds, with its combination of smoky tones from the bacon, perfectly paired with the burst of freshness from the tomatoes
Wild Mushroom Bite with Philadelphia Intense Herbes de Provence - a delicious bite with bursts of nutty flavours from the soy-cooked shiitake and wild mushrooms, and an irresistible crunchy texture from the cracker base
The tour comes as new research from Philadelphia reveals people from the West Midlands actively embrace life’s intense moments (24%). And not only that, but West Midlands residents are foodies at heart, as ‘feasting’ on intense scenarios is their number one go-to (24%). In fact, nearly one in five state that food and drink go hand-in-hand with intense life moments and are often the first thing they think of (17%).
Nancy Galvin, Brand Manager for Philadelphia UK, says: "Life is full of intense moments, but whatever the occasion, it’s clear that people from the West Midlands, including Birmingham, like to mark it with food. With this in mind, we’re bringing the bold flavour of Philadelphia Intense to Birmingham Pride with a foodie tour that will pop-up at New Street Station this May. People can come down, try out Philadelphia Intense, and experience unique flavour combinations created by the wonderful Gok Wan.”
Celebrity chef, TV Presenter and DJ, Gok Wan adds: “I love hosting friends and family, especially for stand-out moments in life. I want to help people elevate intense occasions, such as Birmingham Pride and encourage them to take a moment to enjoy them, and have taken the two new Philadelphia Intense flavours to create a duo of taste-sensation snacks for people to recreate and share with friends. The new, gourmet cheese can be enjoyed however you desire, but I enjoy it slathered on a cracker, with wild mushrooms, onions, and soy sauce.”
Following its appearance in Birmingham, the Intense by Philadelphia tour will help Brits mark moments of intensity and can be found popping up alongside national cultural moments such as Glasgow Pride, Wimbledon and the Ashes in Leeds throughout the summer.
