The Finest Historic Vehicles Head for Hutton-In-The-Forest
Many classic car fans will flock to Hutton-In-The-Forest, near Penrith on Sunday 28th August 2012 for the 10th Lakeland Classic Vehicle Show. This ever popular show is just one of 18 events organised by Mark Woodward Classic Events all over the UK throughout the year.
The Lakeland Classic Car and Bike Show is a long established event, where visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of over 300 classic cars, motorcycles and commercials, plus autojumble and trade stands, all on display in the grounds and gardens of the historic hall at Hutton-In-The-Forest.
Home to Lord and Lady Inglewood's family since 1605, Hutton-In-The-Forest's rooms are rich in history and full of fine examples of beautiful furniture, from the medieval Stone Hall and Victorian Drawing Room to the oak panelled Library. Hutton-In-The-Forest also boasts a rich variety of architecture and fantastic parklands and gardens as well as their famous topiary displays.
Organiser Mark Woodward said, We have held Classic Car Shows at Hutton-In-The-Forest for nearly ten years now and it is always a real treat seeing the vintage vehicles with the stunning historic house and breathtaking gardens and woodlands that surround it as a setting.
Admission is from 10am until 4pm with adult tickets at £6.50 and children aged 7-14 priced at £3 (Children under 7 are free of charge). Admission includes entry to the parkland, gardens, tea room and gift shop but there will be a small additional charge for tours of the house. Ample car parking is available. Easy to find, six miles north west of Penrith and two and a half miles north west of M6 Junction 41 on the B5305 towards Wigton.
