Llangollen Wharf

Llangollen Wharf, Llangollen, Denbighshire, LL208TA

Llangollen Wharf: Llangollen Wharf is one of the major attractions in the North Wales market town of Llangollen. From the Wharf you can embark on either a horse drawn boat trip along the feeder for the main canal, or a motorised aqueduct cruise which takes you across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford. Both these trips take in the magical sights and sounds of the beautiful Llangollen Canal. Longer horse drawn trips can be arranged for large groups.

For over 100 years, visitors have enjoyed trips from Llangollen Wharf. Experience for yourself the pleasure of a horse drawn boat trip on the beautiful Llangollen Canal.

Watch the fish swim lazily by in the clear water delivered fresh from the River Dee as your boat glides silently through the Welsh mountains.

The canal exhibition is housed at the Motor Museum on Abbey Road in Llangollen, where for a minimal charge you can also view a fine selection of restored vintage cars and bikes.

Our 32 foot (11m approx) narrowboat 'Dydd Un' is now available for day hire. This is a perfect way for a family, group of friends or a corporate team to have their own private boat for the day. Self-steer only (don't worry, you can do it!), the boat accommodates up to 10 passengers. .
