Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural, effortless, mental technique to development of consciousness, brought to the west by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who taught the Beatles to meditate. Millions of people already use the technique daily worldwide. The talk will cover the beneficial effects of TM and also explain where Transcendental Meditation comes from, how it differs from other meditation and relaxation techniques, how it is taught, and what the requirements are for learning it.
The speaker, Lewis Walch, was born in Bolton, Lancashire, and is the eldest of 11 children. Along with 3 brothers, he is also a Founder and Director of a very successful company, Kedel Limited, based in Burnley, that manufactures recycled plastic profiles for the construction industry and eco-friendly, colourful, outdoor furniture for schools and local authorities.
He is very experienced, having been teaching Transcendental Meditation for nearly 50 years in the North West and Internationally. He was trained by Maharishi himself in Switzerland in 1974 and has also helped train teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Europe under Maharishi's direction.
