The People's Tribute called "For your Tomorrow" is being created by Standing with Giants
The components for 1,500 life-size soldier silhouettes have been made, and we are inviting community and family groups and organisations to visit us in Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire and help paint and assemble a number of figuresWe are hoping to get as many different organisations and people to participate so they can be part of this momentous occasion
The 30-tonne installation will travel to Normandy in April 2024 in a convoy of three articulated lorriesIt will be placed between the British Normandy Memorial and Gold BeachThere will be one figure for every name on the British Memorial (1,475)We have also designed and cut out a group of French Resistance, honouring those who supported this endeavour on the French side
We hope this Standing with Giants installation will show those in their twilight years that their sacrifices will never be forgotten
How can you get involved?
Ideally, we can accommodate in our Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire workshop groups of 8 to 15 people
Upon your visit, you will be given a short presentation

You will help paint approximately 10 to 20 figures and 10 frames ready for the next group visitingWe have aprons and gloves available
If you can't make up numbers, we're happy for family members to join youIf this is not possible, we can combine different groups
The time we have allocated per group visit is approximately 2 hours; visits can be arranged days, evenings, or weekends throughout February 2024
