It’s a send off. An American stockbroker turned statesman, thwarted in one wildly ambitious plan to change the world for good, bids farewell once again to the land that he loves. Your host is played by Martin Bonger (Fat Man, NIE’s Around the World in 80 Days), with composition and sound design by Jennifer Bell (featured on Radio 4’s Word of Mouth) and Ben Osborne (Fellswoop Theatre). A haunting new show full of hope and misadventure, There Shall Be Fireworks is about being possessed by an idea, and the mortality of human endeavour.
The Plasticine Men search for stories together that beg to be told onstage, explore extraordinary worlds that lurk on the edge of hearsay and history, and craft shows of heart and consequence that get under the skin.
