The updated ‘Broadway’ version of “The Pirates of Penzance” took New York by storm when it premiered in the 1980's and is ready to do the same for Exmouth audiences.
“The Pirates Of Penzance” spins a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often ridiculous dictates of honour and duty. The beauty, wit and whimsy of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic light opera is suffused with a modern sensibility which leave audiences smiling all the way to the end.
Exmouth Musical Theatre Company’s’ comic ability and superb singing voices makes “Pirates of Penzance – The Broadway Version” an excellent evening’s entertainment.
