Bastille. You have to love a band that's name's a album Laura Palmer off the lead character from Twin Peaks, don't you? Beyond great taste in film credit Bastille's founder and singer / songwriter Dan Smith with a impeccable taste in music. Electro tinged synth-pop that brings you back to the best part of the 80's Dan's made sure Bastille has it all covered. Catchy rhythms that make you want to dance, singable anthems and touching well wrote lyrics. Doesn't hurt that he can sing, I mean REALLY sing, too! Have a listen to the single "Flaws/Icarus" if you need a initiation to Bastille's sound. You'll be hooked. Channel 4 even picked it up for the soundtrack of "Made in Chelsea." If video games are your thing you can even find another great Bastille song "Weight of Living" in FIFA 13! Touring hard to spread the word, Bastille recently played all parts Asia and are now soon returning to the U.K. for a set of gigs. We should all be overjoyed to hear it!
