We will teach you how to be visible on instagram and Facebook and share some insider tips to be visible and get work from social media.
This course is designed for intermediate to advanced levels so if you been on one of course before great the content will be different, and if you new to us great stuff! Get ready to learn and have lots of fun.
A understanding of DSLR cameras and some lighting experience is desirable if you not sure just contact us and we can advise. We keep the course numbers small to offer you a bespoke experience and plenty of one to one tuition.
This course is hosted by Community Photographic Studios Plympton and Run by Award winning artist and photographer Jamie House.Jamie is a qualified and experienced Tutor with a PGCE and teaches nationwide.

Advanced Focus – learn about hyperfocal distance and how to take sharp images of still or moving objects Light Meter – metering your subject and metering modes explained in depth, with access to incident,spot and reflective hand-held light meters.Lighting ratios and many more techniques will be explored. Accessories – learn about camera accessories which can enhance photographs including reflectors, diffusers,flags,and light shapers using studio flash and continious light. White Balance – understand how to achieve correctly colour balanced images Exposure – all advanced exposure techniques covered including exposure bracketing, exposure compensation and the magic triangle dynamics Histograms – learn how to read the histograms and benefit from this info to achieve better balanced exposures Flash – how to achieve greater images using your flashgun / speedlite and the chance to use our powerful elichrome quadra flash kit and backgrounds to construct a studio on location Studio- Use advanced flash lighting set-ups in a professionally equipped photography studio with an infinity cove for portraits or larger group shots and another specialist product studio.Learn how to photograph food and products to a professional standard. Models-You will work with professional models and stylist for a real insight into behind the scences of a photography shoot Filters – understand the effects and appropriate use of different filters for different types of photography (fashion, portrait, landscape etc.) Projections- Work with multiple digital data projectors on models and objects to create stunning and unique shots. Composition Techniques – understand the compositional elements of a photograph and how they can be used to create stronger images.
If all this was not enough you will have access specialist photographic books, advice and soak up the great atmosphere were you can enjoy a free coffee and maybe a slice of cake! This studio lighting course is set up so that you can use a studio for portrait and product/still life photography to build your digital and print portfolio.
