Join us for a night of lights, music and remembrance in Bournemouth’s biggest memorial event

Through their love, friendship or compassion, those extraordinary people leave a mark on you that can never be forgotten.
That’s why, every year, Bournemouth Hospital Charity - alongside Macmillan Caring Locally - proudly host Light Up the Prom.
You and your family and friends can take part by purchasing a light in memory of a loved one and dedicating their name into our Book of Light.
Then, on Friday 10 November, join hundreds of people in your community on the Bournemouth Pier Approach, or in the comfort of your own home, to celebrate Light Up the Prom - Bournemouth’s biggest memorial event.
A night of lights, music and remembrance begins with two minutes of silent reflection as hundreds of lights illuminate the prom, followed by a dazzling fireworks display. This year, the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir will also provide musical entertainment.
Proceeds from Light Up the Prom will support both Bournemouth Hospital Charity and Macmillan Caring Locally, who support the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital.
Your support of Light Up the Prom is vital to our efforts to provide new equipment, training and improvements to our hospitals.
