The Oceanarium Bournemouth's giant green turtles will be getting sporty this summer with the introduction of water polo balls, buoys and other suitable floating toys into their display. The new toys are part of an on-going groundbreaking enrichment programme to help maintain a stimulating environment for the seafront attraction's giant green turtles 'Friday' and 'Crusoe'.
Our Aquarists recently moved two Starry smooth hound sharks into the Mediterranean display.
The two sharks one female and one male had been residing in our quarantine area until our displays team felt that they were ready to be moved to their new home.
The sharks are now happy and settled in their new home, and are a great addition to the wide variety of fish and creatures that already live in our Medite
