The tale is told through the eyes of the orphaned Odile who seeks to escape from her evil uncle Rothbart into her fantasy world of beautiful swans. Niewelt's new two act ballet uses some of Tchaikowsky's well known ballet music for Swan Lake as well as newly created scores, promising to enthral all audiences with his talent for storytelling without words. This will be JSLN Dance company’s third consecutive visit to the Shelley Theatre, bringing Niewelt's first full length ballet.
