Good Friday Book Sale: The Friends of Upton Country Park, (Reg. Charity No: 272450), are holding their Annual Book Sale in Upton House on Good Friday, 2nd April 2010, between 10.00am and 4.30pm.
Our first sale was held in 2004, and over the subsequent years we have continued to build upon that success, raising nearly £900 last year. We shall have a large variety of books for sale, with a selection of good quality paperback and hardback books at modest prices for both adults and children. These will be laid out for sale in the ground floor rooms of the House. All the books have been generously donated to us, and all the proceeds from this fund raising event will go towards projects and maintenance within the House and Park. Admission to The House is free and refreshments will be available from the nearby Friends Kiosk or the Peacock Tearooms.
