Sherborne Museum: The museum houses an excellent collection of items based on local history, with a large archive collection of photographs, pictures and drawings relating to the town, its environs and characters. Permanent displays include Roman history and earlier; the Abbey from 705; Sherborne Old Castle from 1136; Sheborne Castle from 1594, the Civil War 1642-1649 the Silk Industry in the 18th & 19th Centuries and a fine Victorian Dolls House.
