TV COMEDIANS COME TO OAKHAM GRAINSTORE
Topping the bill is the animated Sean McLoughlin. His slightly offhand take on the world and awkward view on it is somewhat contradictory, curious and comical. Hugely in-demand in the U.K. and internationally he has most recently been the tour support for Ricky Gervais in arenas across the globe, having previously opened for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall and performed a gala show at the Sydney Opera House. A regular at comedy festivals and clubs the world over, he has also performed six acclaimed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. has made TV appearances on Stand-Up Central, Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, The Stand-Up Sketch Show and fronted a 5-part series for Vice, as well as filming a set for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and a small part in the Netflix sitcom ‘After Life.’
Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who recently made his ‘Live at the Apollo’ debut and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time. He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star enthrals the audience with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who has been busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.
Also appearing is Anthony King; his droll deadpan humour, combined with his material about his own true-life experiences, is mixed in with a whole bunch of lies and topped off with some hilarious songs.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds, winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for 4 years running, who enthrals the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit.
