Multi-award-winning comedian, songwriter, musician, actor, presenter and animal welfare campaigner.
Bill is a multi-award-winning comedian, songwriter, musician, actor, presenter and animal welfare campaigner. His extensive career includes international stand-up comedy tours, TV, film, radio, dueting at HRH Prince Charles’ 60th birthday with Robin Williams, and performing at the Royal Albert Hall with a full BBC Concert Orchestra. He played Manny in the BAFTA award winning Black Books, and was for many years team captain on the popular BBC music panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and is a regular panellist on the hit BBC panel show QI. His renowned passion for the natural world led him to make Bill Bailey’s Jungle Hero for the BBC, following in the footsteps of forgotten naturalist, Alfred Russel Wallace. Bill brings his inimitable, insightful whimsy to pan-global audiences of all ages with his trademark musical mash-ups, multi-lingual riffs and silliness on a grand scale. “He’s a genius, full stop. Calling this Swiftian satirist, versatile multi-instrumentalist and gifted actor merely a comic genius is like calling Michelangelo a house painter.”
