Durham Castle: Dating from 1072, one of Englands largest surviving Norman castles and grandest Romanesque palaces. Seat of the Price Bishops until 1832 and now part of a World Heritage Site. Housing University College, Durham Universitys Foundation College, it is a conference, banqueting and holiday centre in vacations.

Guided Tours - Uni Vacations

Mid Mar - Mid April, July, August and Sept, daily 10am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 4.30pm.

Guided Tours - Uni Terms

Jan, feb, first 2 weeks in Mar, May, June, Oct, Nov and dec open Monday, Wednesday, saturday and Sunday 2pm - 4pm.

Cost: Adult £3.50, Child £2.50, Pensioners £3.00, Family Ticket £8.00.
