"LIVE AT THE APOLLO" STAR NATHAN CATON COMES TO BRAINTREE ARTS THEATRE.
Fresh from winning the Best Small Club award at the 2016 Midlands Comedy Awards, Funhouse Comedy Club returns to Braintree Arts Theatre for another great night of laughter.
Headliner is the award winning Nathan Caton, star of radio and TV, including TV's Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Russell Howard's Good News and BBC Radio 4's 'Can't Tell Nathan Caton Nothing', which had its 3rd series in 2014. He started his comedy career as a 19 year old and immediately started winning awards. He has been called the most exciting young black comic on the circuit and combines his laidback, clear-cut material with his art of cutting down 'fools' both in everyday life and the media.
Supporting is intrinsically funny Lloyd Griffith. As a choirboy in Grimsby he sang on 'The National Lottery, with Dudley Moore who played the piano. And then later in life sang backing vocals on a Bee Gees album. A professional singer but always a natural jester he turned to stand-up and with his down-to-earth cynicism and lively attitude he enthralls his audience.
Also appearing will be vivacious comedian, singer/songwriter, musician and actor Tamar Broadbent. Her absurdly written musical comedy is both brilliant and hilarious.
Compere for the night is the quirky James Dowdeswell who has appeared on such TV shows as 'Russell Howard's Good News', 'Celebrity Deal Or No Deal' and who also played The Count in Ricky Gervais' 'Extras'.
