The Comedy Club Chelmsford at The Lion Inn on Thursday 25th February. 3 Top Comedians as Seen on TV.
Sally Anne Hayward:
Absolutely Fabulous (BBC), Why the Long Faces (Ch4).
Sally-Anne Hayward combines the things you shouldn't like about your best friend's mum with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper. She grew up to reject dizzy incompetence and feminine wiles for a disarming mix of ingratiating charm and unsettling pugnacity that gets more laughs than a hyena's dawn rally.
Stefano Paolini:
'So You Think You're Funny' award (C4) BBC's 'New Comedy Award'.
Runner-up in Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny' award and in BBC's 'New Comedy Award' , impressionist and beat boxer Stefano Paolini is now a regular headliner on the UK comedy circuit.
He has provided voices for Channel 4's animated series 'Bromwell High', BBC 2's 'Double Take' and on Radio 4's 'Dead Ringers', and made his Edinburgh debut with the one man show 'Britalian', about his half-English, half-Italian heritage way back in 2005.
Ricky Grover:
Eastenders (BBC1 2011/2012), Dead Cert (Film with Jason Flemyng & Danny Dyer), Big Fat Gypsy Gangster (Film Sept 2011), Love, Honour and Obey (Film), Revolver (Film), Cargo(Film), The 11 O'Clock Show (Ch4), Tonight With Trevor McDonald (ITV), Grandad's Back in Business (BBC).
Ricky recently starred in Eastenders (BBC1) as Heather's new boyfriend and in 'Big Fat Gypsy Gangster' which was released in September 2011. Born and bred in London's East End, Ricky tried his hand as a hairdresser and a boxer before becoming an actor/writer/comedian and stalwart of the UK comedy circuit and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Illiterate until he was in his early thirties, he is now a prolific, award-winning writer. His gangster character Bulla was not only featured on Channel 4's The 11 O'Clock Show but was interviewed on BBC TV by one of Bulla's biggest fans - the one-and-only chat show host Michael Parkinson.
