Cats In Space Live Music & Concerts

Armed with their debut album ‘Too Many Gods’, CATS in SPACE landed in October 2015, bringing their distinctive brand of “70s infused Rock”.

Featuring band members with a wealth of experience both as writers and performers, they have already caused quite a stir in the music business in such a short time.

With band members playing CV’s listing such greats as 10cc, ELO, Queen, The Sweet, Ian Gillan, Asia & Mike Oldfield to name just a few, you can expect performances of the highest calibre. Special guest on the album, Mike Moran, famed for his work with Queen & Freddie Mercury amongst hundreds orchestrated the albums ‘centre piece seven minute epic’.

The debut single ‘Mr.Heartache’, co-written by founder member Greg Hart, and 10cc vocalist Mick Wilson was released in September 2015, and featured special guest Glam legend from The Sweet, Andy Scott on guitar and vocals. The single was, and still is, gaining play on radio stations throughout the world, and views on YouTube hit 10,000 inside a few weeks, the bands channel gaining new fans by the day.

A follow up single launched in October ‘Last Man Standing’ averaged 1000 views a day during its first week of release and is also being used as the centre piece for the ‘Save Tin Pan Alley’ rally in London (the theme of the song being perfect for it)

The album to date has received hundreds of reviews from all over the world and without exception all have been overwhelmingly incredible, with quotes that are simply out of this world!

Many claim it is the finest album of its kind for decades. Some are saying ‘CATS in SPACE’ have a brand new sound, despite being firmly rooted in the 1970s. Whatever, the army of followers grows steadily in anticipation of live shows and more releases.

To date over 150 radio stations have played both the singles and album tracks, many playing on heavy rotation, and countless live interviews with the band have helped push the profile higher by the day. Championed by BBCs Alex Lester, Planet Rock’s Darren Redick, and ‘Thunder’ & Planet Rock DJ Danny Bowes, ‘Mr Heartache’ has been single of the week on several stations, and from being an ‘unknown band’ just a few swift months ago, they have now been played on BBC RADIO 2, PLANET ROCK, over 15 regional BBC stations, and a host of digital and online stations everywhere from Australia to USA, from Greece to Argentina.

“My aim was simply to make an honest rock album that reflected all my influences growing up. The album I somewhat selfishly wanted to hear, using all the sounds and styles of the greatest decade for music...It comes from the heart, is real, is delivered with passion, and is without compromise. Above all it is delivered in a pompous over the top style like so many great bands used to have. No one is doing this kind of epic ‘rock thing’ anymore, and that is why i think so many cats are digging us, ‘cos we are very real, and we believe in it totally –We are not retro, we are, as we keep getting told, fresh on the menu...and we have lots more to bring to the table!...” - Greg Hart (CATS in SPACE)

The ‘Too Many Gods’ album sold out of its initial run in only TWO weeks from release, and the vinyl edition is also heading towards a repress. For an independent release, with distribution from ‘Cargo’, it is quite an achievement, and it is not slowing down at all.. ‘Mr Heartache’ hit 10,000 views on YouTube inside a month and is currently soaring towards 15,000. The album reviews, and radio plays ever continues to pour in, and the demand for the band is climbing rapidly.

A second album is already being planned for late 2016, and bonus tracks already recorded for future campaigns will help push the band even further into the limelight.

2016 sees the beginning of their live shows, and they have every intention of becoming the ‘must see band’.

CATS in SPACE have landed.... welcome aboard!
