Meet the Author, Nicholas Hagger has written more than 40 books, one was about Epping Forest, which he will speak about in this talk.
Author of more than 40 books, including A View of Epping Forest, Nicholas Hagger has been connected to Loughton for decades and this has influenced his world view, his poetry and his philosophy.
Described as a writer, poet, man of letters, philosopher, historian, he was awarded the Gusi Peace Prize 2016 for Literature.
He has lectured in English at the University of Baghdad in Iraq and the University of Libya, and was a Professor of English Literature at Tokyo University and Keio University in Japan.
Doors open at 7.30 for a cup of tea, followed by an illustrated talk If the front church doors are locked you might need to walk around the back through the car park. The car park is likely to be full, so we suggest parking in nearby Traps Hill car park, which is free.
