The Comedy Club Wickford at the Chichester Hotel on Thursday 3rd March. 3 Top Comedians as Seen on TV.
Host Comedian – Steve N Allen:
'Live With... Chris Moyles' (FIVE), Take The Mike (ITV), New Talent Awards (BBC), TalkSPORT (National)
Comedian, presenter and writer Steve N Allen has a natural stage presence that connects with a crowd. From relatable anecdotes to topical commentary, Steve uses his material to build rapport with the audience, so understandably Steve gets much work as a compere or opening act, leaving the room with a warm energy. Steve's stand-up has taken a path through being a BBC New Comedy semi-finalist, Laughing Horse New Act finalist and Amused Moose Hot Starlet, on to performing at The Comedy Store, Downstairs At The King's Head and Bound & Gagged's AAA Stand-Up show in Edinburgh this year.
Opening Comedian – Gerry K:
FHM Comedy Heroes (Ch4), The Bill (ITV), Angelo's (ITV), The Hawkesby & Jacobs Show (TalkSPORT)
Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest, Gerry K's performed across the UK and abroad at The Comedy Club, Jongleurs, The Comedy Store, CKP and many more top circuit venues, not to mention winning his honours along the way; The Comedy Store's 'King Gong', Metrolife Comedy Newcomer, and The Comedy Café's Best Newcomer Awards. As a regular headline act on the comedy circuit, Gerry also performs regularly at many corporate events. Seen his face before? Gerry's performed on FHM Comedy Heroes (Ch4 – 2010), acted on The Bill (ITV) and Angelo's (Ch5) plus even hosted the football forum with Jeff Stelling and Rodney Marsh for Zoo Magazine...that might have something to do with it!
Headline Comedian – Mike McClean:
The Big Breakfast (C4) Mad For It (ITV) Shameless (C4) 'The Office' (BBC)
Mike McClean has hosted numerous television shows for the BBC, ITV, C4, C5, Sky1 & Nickelodeon and excels at live TV.
He originally trained as an actor, at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester. However, after leaving college Mike gravitated towards stand-up comedy and quickly broke onto the circuit with a comedy magic act.
