An Evening With Elizabeth Harrison: An Evening with Elizabeth Harrison is anything but dull. This bubbly Lancashire lass, who has been described as the Gracie Fields of the organ world, will bring her one-woman show to Cardiff in October. She mixes her foot-tapping playing with anecdotes about her other lives as a farmer, a qualified sign-writer and graphic designer, an HGV1 and coach driver and a collector of vintage tractors and Homepride flour graders. Elizabeth often brings along samples of her life at home on the farm to share with her audience, and she has been know to play for a few minutes in large green Wellington boots!

Even before she starts playing, Elizabeth amazes the audience by arriving with her elegant white instrument crammed in the back of a Mini estate. Moving the 22-stone organ apparently presents no problem to this petite blonde, who is soon resplendent in her sequin waistcoat and ready to share two hours of mirth with her fans.

FEATUREYou and What Army band interview

Telford-based electro-rock band You and What Army describe themselves as "having unforgivingly catchy trance synths that soar over tectonic-plate-shatteringly heavy guitar riffs, dancefloor-destroyingly awesome basslines and lowrider-cruisingly phat beats, with the narrated apocalypse rapped, sung and screamed wildly into the fray." That's one massive claim, so BritEvents' Lucy Middleton catches up with the four piece band to find out more about their epic sound.
