5 writers, 3 actors and 72 hours.
ScriptDawg presents the 72 Hour Writing Challenge where writers are given a secret theme/topic to develop. Unfortunately for them, this remains undisclosed until three days before the event.
The completed short scripts are then sent to our actors for a script in hand, cold performance.
The process:
Day 1 – The writers are given the secret theme or topic and around 24 hours to produce the first draft.
Day 2 – Writers, actors and the director meet up for read throughs, all acting as script editors. The writers are given another deadline for final drafts.
Day 3 – The scripts are sent to the actors and directors for rehearsals and staging, in preparation for the performance.
Admission: £3.50 on the door.
