10 MAY

Westlife: Irish pop band 'Westlife' have been one of the most successful boy bands of our time.

First signed by Simon Cowell in the late 90s, now managed by Louis Walsh, the band are the only group in British or Irish history to have seven singles go straight to number 1.

They began as a quintet but since the departure of Brian McFadden in 2004 have been a successful quartet.

Their latest release was 'Gravity' in 2010.
