Enjoy hearing period instruments and their modern equivalents in the atmospheric Medieval Barn with this story through music.
The performance is part recital, part talk, and will tell a story of how music and instruments have changed (or not) from medieval times through to modern day folk. All three musicians were classically-trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and are specialists in early music as well as folk, jazz, musical theatre, and more. The afternoon concert aims to be fun for all ages, whether or not you already know anything about early music or period instruments. Drinks will be available to purchase beforehand and during the interval. Visitors are welcome to picnic in the grounds before the concert and the gates open at 1pm. On-site parking is free. More information on the Barn's website. Charity number 1112908. Tickets (£10 adult, £5 under 16s) are available online from Ticketsource, or on the gate subject to availability. https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/346280WebsiteVisit website
