Dorstone Jubilee Committee have won a grant from the Let's Create fund to produce a community art work for the Parish of Dorstone.
Come and join us to be a part of creating a community art work for the parish of DorstoneThe workshops will be lead by our chosen artist, Jayne Worthington (www.jhworthington.co.uk)You will have the opportunity to create your very own Cyanotype print during the workshop, and find out more about this very hands on historical photographic process
During the workshop you will also be asked to make your own composition of your chosen objects / materials which will then be taken away and made into individual cyanotype prints by our chosen artistThe resulting prints are intended to be on display in Dorstone throughout the Jubilee weekend celebrations in JuneThe prints from this process will then be framed into one large grid, intended to be on permanent display in a community space within the village
Main details: * Open to all ages (age 4 and up with an adult) and families very welcome! * No previous creative experience necessary * Two workshops on 14th MayEither 10:30am till 1pm or 2pm till 4:30pm
Bring: * Yourselves * Natural materialsThese could be from your garden, your favourite collection of feathers, something found on your favourite walk or somewhere you particularly love in the parishIf possible (but not essential), lightly press any flowers or materials before the 14th of May to bring with you* These materials will need to ft onto a 10 x 8" sheet of paper * All other materials , guidance and refreshments will be provided
