The British Invasion and Beyond! Celebrating and recreating the excitement of The Small Faces, Kinks, Rolling Stones, The Animals and more
Carnaby Army brings you the kind of 60’s music that is best experienced LIVE!The 1960’s music scene in Britain didn’t start with a bang, it was more a crescendo. The decade heralded the arrival of bands that are now household names: the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks and the Animals raised energy levels from about 1964, followed closely by the Who, Spencer Davis Group and the Small Faces. They were the vanguard of the British Invasion, but the US had their own high energy acts too, with Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry turning up the heat, Wilson Picket getting people on their feet, and the Doors raising a few storms in their short but bright career.
Carnaby Army’s stunning show brings the excitement of this amazing period back to audiences young and old. This is not music for earbuds, this is a cultural phenomenon that needs to be experienced!
“The Audience were on their feet dancing from early on. They loved it and I would recommend this band to anyone!” – Derek Griffiths, The Artwoods
“Absolutely brilliant! Couldn’t help but get up and dance. If you ever see a flyer or a program with their name on it… GO!” – FizzyFeet Smith, Goodwood Revival
“As an ex-player from the Sixties myself, I must admit I was sceptical. But you blew me away! Every band member was a perfect spoke in the wheel. Congratulations on a fantastic show!” – Richard Wolczynski, The Exchange, Twickenham.
