As ever, an army of jolly volunteers will be selling delicious, enormous, home-made cakes and serving teaThese are incredibly popular, with many visitors filling their plates, and then touring the gardensThere will also be plants for sale, many cultivated from garden cuttings
Rockfield Park sits in farmland on the River Monnow, just three miles from MonmouthUnder the careful eye of Melanie Molyneux, the gardens have been transformed over the last twenty- seven years and are surely one of the loveliest in the county
The house occupies a spectacular spot, with wonderful views of the Monmouthshire countrysideTo the south is the spire of St Mary's Priory Church, nestled in the surrounding hills; to the north the rolling hills, fields and woodland of the Monnow valley
