247 Spyz: 24-7 Spyz formed in 1986 in South Bronx, New York.
Their eclectic music that mixes elements of heavy metal with funk, soul, and reggae with heavy metal and rock has been compared to Bad Brains and Living Colour.
While never quite reaching superstar status, they did release five critically acclaimed albums before breaking up in 1998.
They got back together briefly in 2003, and released a new album in 2006.
The members have worked on various projects over the years, including playing for Ben Folds on his Rockin' the Suburbs tour in 2005.
In August of last year, the band got back together with the same lineup they had on their 1992 album Strength In Numbers.
The band has excitedly decided to continue touring through March of this year with a number of European dates in Germany and the Netherlands.
Hopefully 24-7 Spyz will continue to tour, and maybe we can even look forward to a new album in their near future.
