The Autumn Artisan Market opens 10am-4pm, Sunday 18th September 2022 at Stourton Woods, Baumber, Horncastle, LN9 5NL.

After a successful first event amongst the picturesque grounds of Stourton Woods, the Autumn Artisan Market returns this Sunday 18th September!

Stourton Estates has once again teamed up with the Lincolnshire Makers group, a growing collective of over 1100 local Lincolnshire creatives, artists and food producers; with 80 of them exhibiting at the latest upcoming event.

Jodie Mason, founder of the Lincolnshire Makers group in 2021, has built up a community of creatives who support each other, whether they be a hobbyist maker or a full time business and says; “The group has such a diverse set of talent from every inch of Lincolnshire, and our events celebrates all of the creative talent we have to offer! We invite visitors to come along and see the best of local art, food, accessories and decor on their doorstep. We’ve even more makers than before in attendance - this our biggest event yet!”

Over 80 local businesses will showcase their wares at the event, taking place in the shelter of the Roundhouse in the woods which is surrounded by parklands of red deer and their deer calves. The Roundhouse, provides shelter for the deer from the elements during the winter months.

Expect a huge range of items on offer from ceramics to cake, textiles to treats, fudge to furniture, woodwork to wool, and interior decor to ice cream. Talented musicians will be on site providing a musical atmosphere - we’ve local guitar duo Nigel and Teri, and saxophonist John entertaining visitors throughout the event.

Enjoy even more street food this time around, with fully loaded fries from Oh La La Fries, freshly made pizza from The Peel Wood Fired Kitchen, sweet and savoury crepes from Fleurs’s Kitchen plus hot drinks from Trigletts coffee. We’ve even options for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets too. Picnic benches will be dotted throughout the grounds for you to soak in the atmosphere or enjoy a walk around the extensive estate grounds.

Deer safari rides will run throughout the day and are wheelchair accessible. These can be booked online in advance on the Stourton Estates website. The event is dog friendly and entry is free of charge for visitors, although a small car parking fee of £4 will apply - every penny of which is reinvested into the grounds maintenance.

With such an array of Lincolnshire creatives, food producers, makers and artists together in a beautiful setting this is an event not to be missed!
