Be Part of the World’s Largest Rum Tasting Attempt this July

Have you ever wanted to break a World Record? On Thursday, 17th July, to celebrate Daiquiri Week (11th - 20th July), Ron Santiago de Cuba™ is teaming up with Ian Burrell, The Global Rum Ambassador to attempt to set a new Guinness World Record™ for the largest rum tasting ever to be held, and they are inviting rum enthusiasts to be a part of this monumental event and to discover one of Cuba’s best kept secrets.

The Guinness World Record™ attempt will take place at the London Suite (formerly known as ILEC Conference Centre) in Earls Court, London. The Global Rum Ambassador will take tasters on a journey to the soul of Cuba, sampling five rums from the Ron Santiago de Cuba™ range: the Carta Blanca, Añejo 8 Years Old, Extra Añejo 11 Years Old, Extra Añejo 12 Years Old and the exceptional 20 Years Old Extra Añejo Gran Reserva.

In addition to being immersed in the highest expression of Cuban rum making tradition, ticket holders will top off the evening with a delicious Ron Santiago de Cuba™ 11-Years-Old Daiquiri to ‘¡Salud!’ and celebrate the World Record attempt. Rum tasters will also be able to purchase a bottle of Ron Santiago de Cuba Extra Añejo 11 Years Old, with an option to personalise their bottle to commemorate the occasion.

To celebrate International Daiquiri Day (19th July), Ron Santiago de Cuba™ will be hosting their fourth annual Daiquiri Week from 11th to 20th July 2025. A global celebration of the classic cocktail, which originated in Santiago de Cuba on the South-East of the island, the rum brand is partnering with a selection of world-leading bars to create their unique takes on the Daiquiri, as well as creating an array of Cuban-inspired Daiquiri experiences and events throughout July.
