Billy Elliot the Musical: Based on the Oscar nominated film, "Billy Elliot - The Musical" tells the inspirational story of one boy's dedication to his dream of dancing, against all odds. The story is set in the north of England during the 1984 miner's strike, where Billy Elliot trades his boxing gloves in pursuit of becoming a ballet dancer.
Billy dances in secret, afraid of his father's certain disapproval. With music by Sir Elton John, the musical premiered in London's West End in 2005 and received critical acclaim.
