Delain: Despite the fact that the concept was originally envisioned by Martin Westerholt as a musical project featuring/hosting guest music artistss and bands, due to large demand for live performances an authentic band was formed.
Westerholt is the main brain behind Delain and he is the one who writes most of the songs for the band, he has also been a part of "Within Temptation" since 2001.
The co-founder of "Delain",Charlotte Wessels was an unknown signer living in vicinity of Westerholt at that time.
They joined hands and this lead to "Roadrunner" release of Delain's debut recording "Lucidity" in 2006.
These musicians quickly transformed into solid rocking force and now they are one of the most liked bands across Europe.
After Delain's second project "April Rain", the band is now taking care of their third record.
They are going to spend their summer recording it.
Genre of this band is Gothic Rock, Symphonic metal and current members are Martijn Westerholt (keys), Charlotte Wessels (vocals), Sander Zoer (drums), Otto Schimmelpenninck lorrie der Oije (bass) and Timo Somers (guitar).
