Deviation: Benji B, Actress, Gqom Oh! Showcase and more
One of London’s key party offerings, for the last decade Benji B’s night has brought together some of electronic music’s most exciting emerging artists. While their philosophy has always been open-ended, the Radio 1 host is well known for pulling together an inspired and eclectic range of sounds from the house and bass end of contemporary electronics.Benji B invites a typically varied set of guests to play alongside him including Actress, South Africans Mafia Boyz alongside Gqom Oh! boss and African digger Nan Kolè. Instrumental grime producer Lil Silva is in the house too, bringing with him his advanced touch on the genre that expertly brings in flecks of dub and r&b to the club floor.
Rinse FM key player Josey Rebelle also touches down. Having made her name on the London station, Rebelle is well known for playing records that transcend style or genre. Finally we can announce for now that Jon K will be in tow and we'll have some more names to announce in the coming weeks.
