Sign up for mystery pints of Free Proper Beer at over 200 London venues.
Beer lovers are being invited to register online with a free pint becoming redeemable on Thursday, April 26, at hundreds of venues across London.
And the brewery behind the giveaway is refusing to reveal its identity – to let their beer to do the talking.
One of the brewery’s gurus said, “They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch – but there’s such a thing as a Free Proper Beer for everyone on April 26. We’re passionate about our beer, so rather than telling everyone how good it is, we thought why don’t we put it in Londoners’ hands for free and let them decide.
In what’s perhaps the riskiest blind taste test ever, the brewery will be removing all branding from beer pumps, cans, mats and posters, temporarily replacing them with simple white writing on a black background. This move will strip it all back to basics and let the beer do the talking.
The brewer continued, “Of course it’s a risk but we know our beer speaks for itself. We’re literally putting our money where Londoners’ mouths are. If they like it – great, if they don’t it was free anyway so no harm done, and either way they’ll know what proper beer tastes like!”
So, what can you expect from a Free Proper Beer? A well-balanced, flavourful and superior brew, which encapsulates what beer should taste like in a simple yet bold way.
The brewer concluded, “People are becoming more interested in beer which is great, and with all the fantastic variety on offer, breweries are competing as to who can shout the loudest, have the craziest packaging design or the punchiest beer name. We believe that drinkers should put taste first”.
All punters need to do is head to FreeProperBeer.com and register, then head to their nearest participating pub with their thirsty mates on the 26th to redeem one pint of free proper beer each.
Those who redeem their beer on the day will get a message to their mobile soon after they’ve taken the first sip it, revealing who the mystery brewery is.
