A three night residency celebrating the iconic British Pop sound of Shirley Bassey and Dusty Springfield, brought to life by star vocalists
David McAlmontPossibly one of the greatest singers this country has ever produced, David McAlmont has collaborated with everyone from Bond composer David Arnold to Michael Nyman, Paul Weller and most famously with Bernard Butler producing the classic hit single Yes. McAlmont's music is pure emotion, drawing unique, soulful portraits from his own life and philosophies, all beautifully framed by the finest soul.
Horse
Horse is recognised as one of the UK's best vocalists and songwriters. With a successful career expanding over two decades, she has opened and toured with several international artists including Tina Turner, BB King, Bryan Ferry, Burt Bacarach. One of her best known songs Careful, was covered by Will Young.
Her first record deal was with EMI/Capitol circa 1990. In total, she has released nine albums including The Same Sky and God's Home Movie. Her current album HOME was released on her own label Randan Records.
In addition to writing and performing, Horse also produces work for other artists - sharing her immense expertise and experience.
Horse’s unparalleled live performances showcase, not only her vocal range and the unique texture and tone that is virtually missing from today’s music, but also her relationship to her fans.
Fresh from her award-winning performance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2017 sees Horse appearing throughout the UK with stories from her life. It’s an autobiographical play called ‘Careful’, written by Lynn Ferguson, directed by Maggie Kinloch and produced by the Gilded Balloon
