It would have been impossible to make it when I first started out in the music business, without the experience of playing in small venues who supported new bands like us.' - Katrina

The band became Katrina and the Waves, and in 1983 they recorded an album of original material, at their own expense, which was shopped around various labels and sold at gigs. They were signed by an independent Canadian label - Attic Records and their first album Walking on Sunshine was released just in Canada. Katrina and The Waves had their first big break in 1984 when The Bangles covered their song ‘Going Down to Liverpool’. This drew attention to the group and lead to an international deal with Capitol Records.

Rebecca Dancer

Rebecca has formed a band with three session musicians; Andy, Matt, and George. These highly creative and talented young musicians have played for the likes of Rag & Bone Man, Emeli Sande, Stormzy and the Beach to name but a few. This exciting time in Rebecca’s career represents a relaunch into the music industry; Rebecca has just recorded an EP, ‘Here in Space, which is due for release this Autumn. Rebecca’s songs are truthful, personal, and lyrical and she returns after her time away with new material, a fantastic band around her, and exciting new possibilities opening up.
