Local residents from across West Norfolk are being invited to hear more about plans for a new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn (QEH)
Local residents, patients, carers, businesses and interested parties from across West Norfolk are being invited to hear more about plans for a new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn (QEH) at a series of event across the area.
Hosted by the CEO Alice Webster along with a dedicated new hospital programme team, this event will bring people up to date on the large scale work going on behind the scenes to deliver a new QEH by 2030.
This includes how latest Office of National Statistics and National Audit Office data and population models are being use to formulate a full business case setting out the size and scale of a new hospital. Looking at how the population will grow, with large scale housing developments in the area, as well as health trends and new models of care, are all being factored in.
The team will explain how modern methods of construction – will mean the building will be carbon neutral, sustainable and have the longevity to serve generations to come.
Attendees will hear how the hospital will be built within the footprint of the existing main hospital car park and how enabling works are being systematically delivered at pace to make available the space required. This includes the construction of a new multi-storey car park.
Refreshments will be available. The event is 6pm arrival, with presentations starting 6.10pm.
