An evening of unbounded revelry, The Prohibition Party is London’s landmark immersive 1920s party, blurring the boundaries between audience and performers. In celebration of the 10th anniversary this September, those more adventurous guests may participate in a special pre-party experience, where they will interact with certain shady characters and wheedle their way into a secret party room using guile and deceit. On gaining entry to the “Chinese Laundry”, guests will be rewarded with a cocktail as they rub shoulders with a cast of racketeers, good-time girls and under-cover cops.

Taking inspiration from the most infamous parties throughout history, Prohibition sweeps guests away to the giddy magic and romance of the glistening Twenties. Explore secret and intimate rooms where passwords are required to enter, stumble across hidden speakeasies and cocktail delights tucked away in candlelit arches. Throughout the night entertainment includes live bands, DJs on gramophones, silent cinema, dancing troupes and gambling tables. In order to escape the prying eyes of the police, cocktail menus are circulated hidden inside the pages of books, and drinks are served in teacups.

In an age of loosening morals, soaring stocks and bootleg barons, the famous parties of the 1920s cultivated an unparalleled atmosphere of opulence, exuberance and decadence. Prohibition invites ladies to slip into their tassels and pearls, gentlemen to don their tuxes and spats, and everyone who is anyone to join them for a unique and clandestine revival of an enchanting past.
